Tradelines FAQ

About Tradelines

What is a tradeline

In the broadest sense, a tradeline is any account that appears on your credit report. Different types of tradelines include mortgages, auto loans, student loans, furniture loans, jewelry loans, installment loans, and of course, credit cards of all types.
However, if you made it to our website, you may be interested in purchasing tradelines, and that is something a little more specific than this broad definition listed above.
We sell authorized user tradelines, which means you can pay to become an authorized user on someone else’s credit card. This account will then appear on your credit report showing your authorized user status.

How do tradelines help?

Tradelines help in two ways: improve the credit line utilization, and improve the average credit line age. These two concepts are part of the calculation that goes into around 30/35% of your credit score.

What cards help with credit line utilization?

Cards with a high credit limit.
For example if your total credit line is $10,000 and you are using $5,000 of it then your utilization is 50%. If you add a tradeline with a $20,000 limit and negligible use then your new utilization would be 16.6% ($5,000/$30,000)

What cards help with average card age?

Cards that have been open for a long time.
For instance if you have two cards, each 1-year and 2-years old then your average card age is 1.5-years old. Adding a card that is 12-years old will improve your average card age to 5 years (the total of 15 years divided by the 3 cards)

What if I have collections?

You should fix those first either paying up or setting up a payment plan or going through some type of credit repair process.

How much will my score go up?

This is of course impossible to tell. Usually around 50 points, provided that nothing else changes. We have seen up to 100+ points improvement but this was with people with little credit history rather than bad credit history. We cannot guarantee any specific number.
